Piano in the Community: George Winston Concert

George WinstonPianist/composer George Winston will be performing a solo concert at SIUE on December 13. Winston is most known for his own style of melodic instrumental music on solo piano called "folk piano". He will be performing fall and winter type songs, some of Vince Guaraldi’s “Peanuts” pieces, compositions inspired by the New Orleans piano and the stride piano traditions, and songs from his 2015 album, “Spring Carousel – A Cancer Research Benefit.” This is a great opportunity to hear a professional pianist perform. Offering Group Lessons Starting in January

I will be offering group lessons to existing students starting in January. This is an opportunity for students at the same level to perform in a low stress environment and to learn music theory through group games and activities. They will be held on the second Saturday of every month and all students are strongly encouraged to participate. Group lessons are $5 for individual students and $8 for families with more than one student participating. Each lesson is 45 minutes.

The group lesson times will be:
9:00am – Primer- Level 1
10:00am – Levels 2A-3A
11:00am – Levels 3B & up

Winter Recital 2015!

Winter RecitalJoin us on December 6 to celebrate the Christmas season and the hard work put forth by your students this year! The recital begins at 3:00 at Center Grove Presbyterian Church in Edwardsville. Students should arrive by 2:45. Please wear your Sunday best! Girls, that means a skirt or dress. Boys, wear a tie if you have one. No Jeans! There will be a reception afterwards. Please bring your favorite Christmas cookies to share! Drinks will be provided.

New Cancellation Policy

Starting December 1, please inform me by 8:30 a.m. the day of your lesson if you need to cancel for any reason. For LCA and CCA students please let me know if your child is not in school on the day of their lesson. No-shows will be charged for the lesson.
